I have vested hours in these special pieces. I can't wait to finish them. I've been thinking about all the possible glazes to use. My mind is always thinking ahead to my next creations. The kids are almost back to school and before you know it it will be Christmas. I hope 2011 brings me more opportunities to work, maybe with my own pottery wheel and eventuality my own electric Kiln. :)

My first thrown work.

Sometimes I feel this way that I can't quite center my clay. I look to my left then to my right and I see masterpieces being made. I wonder will I ever be able to reach my goals. Will mine ever look like that? I look down and see a blob, my pants and shirt covered in clay. I arrive home and look in the mirror and see clay in my hair and on my cheek. I recall the art I have made for the last few months. I then realize I have had an awesome day playing in clay and life can't get any better than this.
